Meet the Photographer
Hi, I'm Debbie
A little about me: I love God, my family, my friends (who become family)—and capturing nature and life through my lens. There’s something about photographing the beauty that only God can create or capturing the quiet stories of people and places that makes time stand still.
I grew up on a small farm in Middle Tennessee, with horses, chickens, turkeys, cows, pigs, lambs—you name it. Some of my fondest memories are of being with my father, usually barefoot, “helping” in the garden or tending to the animals. It’s where I learned to appreciate the land and the dedication it takes to care for it.
Though my career took me far from that farm—to cities across Tennessee, Texas, and even Germany—I never lost my deep connection to the land and the simple beauty of nature.
Now, back home near Nashville and retired from a 30+ year career in marketing for the military, I have the privilege of spending my time behind the camera, telling stories through the art of photography. I'd give anything to have photos of my own childhood—my father in overalls plowing the fields, bottle-feeding an orphaned lamb, or my mom sewing patchwork quilts by hand. That’s why I love capturing those kinds of moments for others—whether it's a farmer working the land, an artist at their craft, or a child having a tea party with her pink tutu-wearing goats, those images always bring a smile.
I would be honored if you chose one of my gallery images for your home or office—or if we could work together to create something personal, authentic, and uniquely yours with a Signature Session.
I guess, deep down I’m still that barefoot kid on the farm—chasing light, dreaming of telling stories, and capturing what feels like home.
